Directions : Turn off highway 99 at the Whistler Village entrance
(Village Gate Boulevard). Turn right onto Blackcomb Way at the "T"
junction. Turn into Snowy Creek after crossing the bridge.
Basically there are 3 modes of transportation to Whistler Resort:
Car: You can rent a car at the airport and it is a beautiful drive up
here ( 3 hrs from the airport to Whistler; 2.25 hrs from downtown Vancouver to
Whistler). We have a single car garage plus a parking pass for one car
outside. Once you are here you will not need a car as nearly everything is
within walking distance. However, there are some very nice sights within a 30-45
minute drive from here which would only be accessible by car. It should be noted
that during January & February driving can be rather difficult as we live in
the mountains.
Limo: This is a very civilized way to travel and a great way to start
a vacation. This is my personal preference for transportation. Town
and Country Limousines is one company.
Bus: The Whistler
Express (operated by Perimeter 1-877-317-7788 or 604 266-5386) departs the
Vancouver airport regularly for its direct route to Whistler. It takes anywhere
from 2.5 to 3.5 hrs to reach the Whistler Loop. Also Greyhound
1-800-667-0882 operates a direct service between downtown Vancouver to Whistler.
Please Note: you must reserve and pay in advance for the limo or Whistler
Express bus directly with the respective organization.
Transportation while in Whistler
You will definitely not need a car while you are here in Whistler. First, the
village is pedestrian only. Secondly, everything is within a 10 minute walk from
our townhouse. If you don't feel like walking, there is a free shuttle bus which
stops at your front door every 15 minutes. The bus makes a loop around all of
the village. Lastly, you can always call a taxi.
